Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women will hold a bake sale on February 12th in the church. Be sure to stop by the table following worship service.

Purpose

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves: To nurture our faith through prayer and Bible Study, to support the mission of the church worldwide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God’s Kingdom.

Least Coin Offering

Presbyterian Women has challenged the congregation to join them in donating coins over the next year by adding to their jar. They donate their coins at each of their meetings to the  Fellowship of the Least Coin. This has been a global ecumenical women’s prayer movement for over fifty years. Individuals or groups may join by committing to pray for peace, justice and reconciliation among families and communities, and worldwide. Each time an individual prays, he/she sets aside a coin as a symbol of the prayer. The prayers and the coins support projects for women and children around the world.

Our prayer shawl ministry has really taken off! We have made and distributed quite a few. Anyone who knits or crochets or would like to learn can contact Julie Conrad or Mary Ann Borland.
